Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd. is recruiting a PLC Controls Engineer for a South Yorkshire systems integrator. You will develop PLC/SCADA software, design to handover, and commission at customer sites across utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, energy and nuclear sectors.

The role combines office-based development with occasional on-site commissioning, with a salary of £50-65k depending on experience and a strong progression path within a supportive technical team.

Qualifications

Commercial PLC programming experience
Background in systems integrator/OEM/process control environments
Experience across utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, energy or related sectors
UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch for process control projects
Manage full lifecycle: design, development, testing, commissioning and handover
Create FDS, test documents and technical manuals
Commission and troubleshoot control systems at customer sites within the region
Collaborate with senior engineers to solve technical automation challenges
