Job summary

St Maxentius CE Primary School in Side of the Moor is seeking a Play Worker to join our Out of School Club. The role supports children aged 4-11 with safe, engaging activities.

You will plan and deliver creative play, provide emotional support, and work with staff to create an inclusive, welcoming environment.

The post is permanent, term-time pro-rata, with early mornings and afternoons, starting ASAP; DBS checks apply.

Working Hours: 23.75 Hours

Contract Type: Permanent

Required From: ASAP

Salary: Grade A Point 3 (pro-rata based on hours and term time only)

• creates a safe and welcoming environment
• has good communication skills with parents, children and school staff
• is able to work effectively as part of a team
• has sound judgement, common sense and lots of initiative
• has sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children

Desirable: has first aid, food hygiene or safeguarding certificates
