Blenheim Schools is seeking a Play Worker for Meoncross School on a 0 Hour Bank contract to support wraparound care and holiday club activities for children aged 2.5 to 11.

You will lead inclusive activities, supervise safety and foster enjoyment, learning and confidence in a welcoming environment for pupils, families and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a safe, engaging and enjoyable wraparound care and holiday club experience for children aged 2.5 to 11 years.
  • Plan and lead a variety of inclusive activities, including sports, arts and crafts, educational games and structured play.
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
  • Create a welcoming environment where children can learn, develop confidence and have fun.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the wraparound and holiday club provision.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and activity records as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of resources, equipment and activity plans.
  • Administer first aid when required and complete associated documentation.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, following all school policies and procedures.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Play Worker to join our dynamic team as bank staff for Holiday Club and the occasional term time Wraparound session when cover is needed. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with children and able to create a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment.You will be responsible for leading a range of activities for children aged 2.5 years -11, ensuring each child's safety and well-being. A passion for working with children and providing inclusive, fun, and engaging activities for the children in your care is essential. Alongside this, you will inspire them to explore their interests, assisting with the planning and delivery of games and activities. This will include multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play; therefore, enthusiasmand organisation skills are essential!

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
