Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a Flying Start setting in Newport to provide a Playworker on a part-time basis. You will work 2:45pm–6pm, Monday to Friday, delivering a safe, engaging environment to support children aged 2–4 years and helping their learning through play. An ASAP start is expected.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in childcare or playwork, plus experience with 2–4 year olds and a positive, flexible attitude to on-site activities.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Flying Start setting in Newport, providing a supportive environment for children aged 2 - 4 years. The setting is focused on giving young children positive early experiences through engaging, age-appropriate play and activities.

The setting is looking to take on a Playworker on a part-time basis, working Monday to Friday from 2:45pm - 6pm with an ASAP start. The successful Playworker will support children aged 2 - 4 years, helping to provide a safe, engaging and positive environment while encouraging their learning and development through play.

The successful Playworker will have:

• Level 3 qualification relevant to childcare or playwork
• Experience working with children aged 2 - 4 years
• A caring and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
• A good understanding of providing a safe and engaging environment
• A flexible and positive attitude
