Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Play Worker to join Carmarthenshire County Council. The post holder will be based across Morfa, Felinfoel and Llwynhendy Children’s Centres, providing engaging play and leisure activities for children aged 0 to 12 years in indoor and outdoor settings.

You will work as part of a team, plan and run activities, and demonstrate a passion for children’s development. Some Welsh language ability is required (Level 2) with support to improve on appointment.

  • Based across Morfa, Felinfoel and Llwynhendy Children's Centres.
  • Level 2 Welsh language ability with support to improve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide play and leisure activities for children aged 0–12 years.

  • Work as part of a team to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

If part time and/or term time, the full time salary quoted (based on 37hrs) will be pro-rata\'d accordingly

Hourly Rate : £13.45 (Including Real Living Wage Supplement) - £13.69

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic person who is passionate about working with children and young people.

The post holder will be based across Morfa, Felinfoel and Llwynhendy Children\’s Centres.

We recognise the significance and value of play in children\'s development and their innate desire to seek out opportunities as part of their play and learning. As a Play Worker you will work as part of a team to provide opportunities for all children to explore both themselves and the communities they live in. This involves both indoor and outdoor activities, so you should be willing to work with the natural elements, get messy and generally ensure that the children have fun in a safe and secure environment. This role will involve planning, organising and taking part in play and leisure activities for0 to 12 year olds.
