Job summary

Canon Popham C of E Primary School is seeking a friendly lunchtime/play team member to supervise play, plan engaging activities, and promote inclusive, positive interactions among pupils.

Experience with children in schools or childcare is desirable. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and building strong relationships with students, with opportunities for professional development.

• Supervision: Monitor children in the playground or school field during lunchtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Activity Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging indoor/outdoor play activities suitable for various ages.
• Engagement: Promote positive play, social interaction, and inclusivity among students.
• Safety & Welfare: Ensure all areas are safe, manage equipment, and offer support to children, including those with additional needs.
• Liaison: Work effectively with the wider team and report any concerns to senior staff.
