Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group is seeking an energetic childcare assistant to support play activities for children in a dynamic, friendly setting in Nottingham. You will help deliver a safe, inclusive programme, build positive relationships with families and work with a team to maintain high standards of play.

You should have Level 2 in early years/childcare, a paediatric first aid certificate, and be willing to undertake DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar childcare setting or other roles with children is desirable.
• Able to deliver engaging play activities that are fun, safe and positive for all children.
• Champion the core values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty in every activity.
• Role subject to enhanced DBS check and DBS Update Service; must be over 18.
• YMCA provide DBS check and can support qualification development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a programme of play activities that maintains high standards of play and wellbeing for children.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, colleagues, and school staff to support the child's development.
