Job summary

YMCA is seeking an energetic childcare assistant who loves children and creating fun activities. You will help deliver a safe, engaging play programme and build excellent rapport with parents, carers and staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 qualification in early years or childcare and Paediatric First Aid; we may support you to gain these qualifications. Applications require being over 18 and DBS checked.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 qualification in early years, play work or childcare provision.
• Paediatric first aid is preferred, though training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging play activities to maintain high standards of play in a fun, safe, and positive programme.
• Communicate effectively to parents, carers, children, colleagues and school staff; champion core values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
