Job summary

Basis Technologies, Bracknell, is hiring a Platform Engineering Manager (SRE) to own reliability and platform engineering for Klario and Private Cloud. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building a proactive, scalable platform with a permanent team and strong ownership of uptime.

You will define SRE practices, monitorings, incident response, and work with Product Owners on SLOs and budgets, reporting to VP Engineering. The role blends platform delivery with customer-facing reliability.”

Qualifications

• Proven 24/7 reliability of cloud-based products.
• Hands-on SRE with monitoring, incident response, and SLOs.
• Leadership experience in building or growing an in-house platform team.

Responsibilities

• Own platform delivery roadmap for Klario and Private Cloud.
• Embed SRE practices across Engineering and define SLOs/error budgets.
• Lead and recruit a permanent Platform Eng/SRE team; hire manager for growth.
• Enable Klario Platform on SAP BTP with automated deployment and observability.
• Modernise Private Cloud toolchain; standardise CI/CD and release processes.
• Provide senior escalation support for complex platform issues.
