Job summary

Orkes is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance the reliability and performance of its distributed application platform. This position involves defining SLIs/SLOs, leading incident response, and automating operational workflows.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps, strong cloud platform experience, and hands-on Kubernetes knowledge. This is a full-time remote role offering a salary between $180,000 to $250,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, availability, and performance of production systems in cloud environments.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs, manage error budgets across the platform.
• Lead incident response efforts including detection, triage, mitigation.
