Job summary

Oxford Quantum Circuits is seeking a Platform Network Engineer to design, build and evolve networking platforms powering our cloud, lab and office environments. You’ll work in a DevOps team to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure with automation across on‑prem and cloud setups.

You’ll implement network monitoring, improve resilience, and contribute to secure, high‑performing services for quantum research and product delivery, with occasional travel to UK and international locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a network engineering role supporting enterprise or production environments.
• Hands-on with firewalls, routers and switches.
• Experience provisioning cloud networking across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS and network monitoring tools.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible) and Git.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent networking qualification.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructure across cloud, lab and office environments.
• Deliver network upgrades, deployments and infrastructure improvements with DevOps and project teams.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions and network standards.
• Implement monitoring, performance optimisation and incident response for high availability.
• Strengthen network security through access controls and encryption, collaborating with IT.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to networking best practices across OQC.
