Job summary

Oxford Quantum Circuits is seeking a Platform Network Engineer to design, build and evolve the networking platforms powering our cloud, lab and office environments. You will help deliver secure, resilient, high‑performance infrastructure to support quantum research and commercial products.

As part of the DevOps team, you’ll design, implement and maintain network infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud, automate where possible and continuously improve resilience and security of our platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and maintaining enterprise networks across on‑prem and cloud.
• Hands-on with firewalls, routers, switches and cloud networking.
• Familiarity with IaC tools and version control for infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security reviews, encryption and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud, lab and office environments.
• Deliver network upgrades and deployments with DevOps and project teams.
• Build IaC, maintain documentation and standards for networking.
• Implement monitoring and incident response to ensure highly available services.
• Strengthen network security through access controls and reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support research, engineering and product delivery.
• Mentor colleagues and promote best practices across the team.
