Job summary

Virgin Media O₂ is seeking an experienced Platform Lead for Middleware, MSA and API Gateways to shape and drive a resilient, scalable integration platform estate in our UK technology landscape. You’ll own the platform vision and roadmap across middleware, microservices and API ecosystems, partnering with technical leads to deliver governed, high-performing services.

In this role you’ll steer AI-enabled innovation, manage performance and cost, and modernise integration capabilities while aligning

Qualifications

Significant experience leading large-scale enterprise platforms.
Strong expertise in middleware and integration platforms (GCP, Oracle Fusion).
Deep understanding of API management and gateway technologies (Apigee).
Experience with microservices architecture and MACH principles.
Proven experience operating within a strategic partner or managed service model.

Responsibilities

Own platform vision and roadmap across middleware, microservices and API ecosystems.
Collaborate with technical leads and strategic partners to deliver governed, high-performing services.
Steer AI-enabled innovation and improve engineering productivity while managing performance, cost and risk.
