Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) is seeking a Platform Technical Lead to shape cloud platform strategy, AI enablement, and engineer productivity across multiple teams. You will guide cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and AI tooling, establishing standards and governance while scaling secure, reliable software delivery.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, champion automation, and influence investment decisions to drive Vodafone's digital platform evolution and cross-market

Qualifications

• 10+ years software/infra/platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading cloud infrastructure or platform teams.
• Experience defining cloud platform strategy and operating models.
• Proficient with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong IaC and platform automation knowledge.
• Experience with AI engineering tooling and AI-native delivery.
• Understanding of LLM platforms, agents, evaluation frameworks and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the cloud platform, developer platform and AI enablement strategy.
• Lead engineering teams for cloud infra, platform engineering, developer experience and AI enablement.
• Establish platform standards, guardrails and reusable capabilities.
• Drive adoption of self-service platforms and automation.
• Define governance for AI tooling, AI delivery and artefacts.
• Lead evaluation and operationalisation of AI engineering technologies.
• Own platform capabilities: CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, secrets management, security.
• Improve developer productivity and delivery throughput through automation.
• Ensure platform services are secure, scalable and cost-efficient.
• Define reliability, availability and operational excellence objectives.
