Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve engineering platforms, automation capabilities and developer experiences that enable AI-native software delivery at scale. This role focuses on secure defaults, reusable patterns and improving cross-team productivity.

You will collaborate with AI Software Engineers to drive throughput, quality and platform adoption while embedding validation and observability into delivery workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering or developer tooling experience.
• Experience designing and operating developer platforms, CI/CD capabilities and engineering automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience building reusable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and software quality.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and engineering automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain engineering platform capabilities that enable AI-native software delivery at scale.
• Develop reusable delivery controls, templates, pipelines, automation and engineering accelerators.
• Embed automated validation, quality checks and secure defaults directly into software delivery workflows.
• Build and evolve reusable patterns that support safe and scalable adoption of AI-assisted development; improve developer experience.
• Develop observability and measurement capabilities to provide insights into engineering productivity, quality and platform adoption.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and AI Software Engineers to identify recurring engineering challenges and implement platform-based solutions.
• Enable responsible use of AI-generated code, testing, documentation and engineering artefacts through automated validation.
• Drive continuous improvement across CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning and deployment processes.
• Ensure platform capabilities remain secure, scalable, maintainable and operationally resilient.
