Job summary

Kaluza, the Energy Intelligence Platform, is seeking a Head of Platform Foundations for a hybrid UK role (London or Bristol three days a week in the office). You will lead four teams—Platform Engineering, Reliability, Release Engineering, and AI & Enablement—across UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a Platform/SRE function.
• Ability to define and execute multi-year platform strategy.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tooling in engineering.
• Proven track record running production reliability at scale (SLOs, on-call).
• Strong cloud architecture knowledge, preferably AWS.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-year platform strategy and roadmap with Product and Engineering.
• Scale platform repeatably while managing client instances and new markets.
• Drive AI transformation across engineering and measure impact.
• Ensure reliability through SLOs, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee CI/CD and progressive-delivery practices.
• Manage cloud unit economics and vendor partnerships including AWS and Datadog.
• Lead and develop a UK-based team with global remit and maintain compliance (ISO 27001/22301).
