Job summary

Albert Bow Limited is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering in London to lead the platform's next phase of maturity. You will own Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD and cloud operations, driving reliability, observability and performance across the engineering org while partnering with leadership to shape the technical future.

This role offers ownership of infrastructure, security, and developer experience, with a fast-growing AI-focused environment and opportunities to scale with high-caliber teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Platform, Infrastructure, SRE or DevOps teams.
• Strong background in cloud-native environments.
• Deep Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise.
• Proven experience scaling engineering organisations.
• Strong understanding of security, reliability and operational best practices.
• Builder mindset with a passion for creating engineering platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Platform Engineering strategy.
• Scale cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities.
• Lead and grow a high-performing Platform Engineering team.
• Own Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and cloud operations.
• Drive reliability, observability and performance across the engineering organisation.
• Lead security, compliance and operational excellence initiatives.
• Improve developer productivity and enable faster, safer deployments.
• Partner closely with Engineering Leadership to shape the company's technical future.
