Job summary

Pearson in London is seeking a Principal, Program Management to lead Platform Engineering's business office and portfolio governance. You will drive strategic alignment, executive reporting and operational excellence across a global technology function.

You will partner with OCTO and platform leaders to create governance frameworks, dashboards and insights, shaping prioritisation and delivering measurable business value in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology organisations and leadership roles.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders within complex matrix organisations.
• Experience producing executive-level reporting, dashboards and performance insights.
• Experience managing portfolios containing multiple programmes, projects and workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Cross-functional alignment & business operations: drive organisational alignment, governance, and delivery frameworks.
• Enterprise portfolio & demand management: govern portfolio demand intake and provide consolidated views.
• Performance metrics & executive reporting: design KPI/OKR frameworks and executive dashboards.
• Communications & organisational engagement: own executive updates and leadership communications.
• Strategic partnership: partner with Platform Engineering leadership to drive transformation and remove barriers.
