Job summary

Erin Associates Ltd in Leicestershire is seeking a seasoned DevOps Platform Engineer to build and maintain an internal platform enabling development teams to deploy software rapidly, securely and reliably across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will work across Kubernetes, GitOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and security, creating self‑service tools and automation that streamline developer workflows and reduce toil.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Linux.
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• IaC, GitOps and declarative automation.
• CI/CD experience across GitLab, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Networking, security and disaster recovery.
• Scripting in Go, Python or Bash.
• Experience in on-premises/bare-metal environments.
• Exposure to OpenShift, K3s, Docker Swarm, Backstage or AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the internal platform enabling rapid, secure software delivery across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Create self‑service tooling and automation to simplify developer workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to shape platform capabilities and governance.
