Job summary

CME Group Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer II to build AI data agents that interface with our enterprise knowledge catalog and analytics infrastructure in Belfast. You will automate complex data workflows and create scalable integrations across our data platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field with 1+ years' hands-on engineering experience, strong Python/Java skills, and experience with Claude, Anti Gravity, and GitHub Copilot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Information Systems, or related field with 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Experience developing Agent Skills and building Agent Evals.
• Experience utilizing Coding Agent tools such as Claude, Anti Gravity, GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to work proactively in a team and meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI data agents to query the enterprise knowledge graph, data catalogs, and analytics systems.
• Develop modular Agent Skills to execute data retrieval, transformation, and analytical tasks.
• Design and implement Agent Evals to test reliability, accuracy, and factual consistency.
• Build intelligent integrations with unified data pipelines and BigQuery ecosystems.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ingest, curate, and expand the enterprise knowledge catalog and knowledge graph.
