Job summary

Barclays is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to design, develop and improve software platforms that power critical services across Knutsford, Glasgow and Manchester. You will build scalable Kubernetes platforms, automate cloud infrastructure, and deploy AI agents with governance and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes platform engineering and secure, scalable platforms.
• Experience deploying AI/LLM services and governance frameworks.
• Cloud design/deploy across AWS and/or Azure with automation.
• Knowledge of OpenShift and enterprise Kubernetes distributions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software platforms for critical services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements.
• Promote code quality via reviews and secure coding practices.
• Stay informed on industry trends and contribute to technical communities.
