CME Group is hiring a Platform Engineer II in Belfast to advance AI data agent tooling and data pipelines. You will work on an enterprise knowledge catalog, knowledge graph, and analytics infrastructure, building scalable integrations and reusable tooling that connect AI capabilities to core data platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, collaboration across data teams, and contributing to automated data workflows in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ years hands-on engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Experience developing Agent Skills and building Agent Evals.
• Experience utilizing Coding Agent tools (Claude, Anti Gravity, GitHub Copilot).
• Ability to work proactively in a team and meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Agent Development: design, build, deploy AI data agents to query knowledge graph and analytics systems.
• Skill Creation: develop modular Agent Skills for data retrieval and transformation.
• Agent Evaluation: test reliability and factual accuracy of agent outputs.
• Data Pipeline & Analytics Integration: build integrations with unified data pipelines and BigQuery ecosystems.
• Knowledge Integration: collaborate with data engineers to ingest and expand the enterprise knowledge catalog and knowledge graph.
• Tool Utilization: leverage Coding Agent tools to accelerate delivery and code generation.
