Job summary

Systematica in London/Hybrid environment is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build, automate and operate a hybrid production platform across AWS and on‑premises, focusing on HashiCorp tooling (Nomad, Consul, Vault). You will treat infrastructure as software, promote automation-first practices and build reusable platform capabilities to improve developer experience, resilience and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and operate a hybrid production platform across AWS and on-premises environments, with a particular focus on the HashiCorp platform, including Nomad, Consul and Vault.
• Treat infrastructure as software, promote automation-first practices and build reusable platform capabilities that improve developer experience, operational resilience and security.
• Exercise strong judgement when making platform changes, including understanding the architecture, ensuring deployment prerequisites are met, carefully managing YAML and infrastructure configuration, and assessing the impact of maintenance and change activity across the wider platform.
