Qualifications

• Several years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps with production responsibility for Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps (Argo CD), Helm, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform plus configuration management with Ansible or similar.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP considered) and IAM, networking, and managed Kubernetes.
• Experience with eBPF networking/security, service meshes, or multi-cluster management.
• Programming/scripting in Go, Python, or Bash for automation and Kubernetes operators.
• Networking/security fundamentals and secret management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, External Secrets).
• Observability and alerting, preferably with OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Platform as a product: build self-service templates and pipelines for easy deployment.
• Design and operate declarative delivery with GitOps and automated rollback.
• Provision and manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes tools.
• Run production Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on‑premises, with upgrades and autoscaling.
• Maintain Docker Swarm environments and migrations as needed; ensure security and observability.
• Build observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana; define SLOs and error budgets.
• Embed security by default: least privilege, secrets management, and SBOMs; support AI-assisted tooling.
• Own resilience and disaster-recovery procedures; ensure cost visibility and FinOps discipline.
• Keep development environments fast and reproducible with dev containers, Tilt, and similar tooling.
• Collaborate across development, security, and operations; enable teams to ship software safely.
