Job summary

CDL, a leading UK software house in Stockport, is seeking an Intermediate Platform Engineer to build and maintain cloud platforms using AWS, IaC, CI/CD and automation. You will leverage AI-assisted tools like Kiro, GitLab Duo and Microsoft Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues.
• Experience planning and delivering upgrades and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform and application performance issues.
• Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and modernisation initiatives.
• Contribute to reliability, availability and security of platform services.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational effort.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute to incident, problem and change management activities.
• Research and evaluate new technologies that could improve platform capabilities.
• Utilise AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and automation.
