Job summary

Freetrade is hiring a Platform Engineer in London/Budapest in a hybrid 3-days in-office/2-days from home setup. You will work across Google Cloud infra, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD to build scalable platform capabilities used by product teams.

The role emphasizes automating, securing, and improving production services in a fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll collaborate with security, risk, and compliance teams, contribute to observability and SLOs, and help implement AI-assisted

Responsibilities

Contribute to Google Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, serverless, and Terraform; collaborate with engineering teams to create scalable, developer-friendly platforms.
Improve CI/CD pipelines: faster builds, safer rollouts, clearer failure modes across the CI/CD stack.
Design and evolve platform components as a product, aligning with product roadmaps and engineering needs.
Integrate AI into engineering workflows, assess effectiveness, and refine tooling and guardrails as AI use expands.
Support monitoring, observability, alerts, and SLOs to empower teams to own their services.
Collaborate with security, risk and compliance to build guardrails for financial services compliance.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems, growing ownership of platform areas.
