Job summary

The Key is looking for a Platform Engineer to design, operate and optimise a cloud-based platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). You will act as an operational anchor, automating critical processes, boosting security, and improving developer experience across test and production environments.

You will own IaC tooling, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and AI-driven automation, collaborating with local and remote teams to reduce downtime and accelerate software

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience designing and managing robust CI/CD platforms.
• Practical experience designing, operating, and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tooling, preferably Terraform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI coding agents and advanced automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and optimise a cloud-based platform on GCP/GKE for reliability and performance.
• Own monitoring, observability, incidents, and post-incident improvements across prod and test environments.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Automate manual tasks and integrate AI tooling to enhance developer efficiency.
• Foster security practices and coordinate with cross-functional teams locally and remotely.
