Job summary

CreatePay is building a hands-on Platform Engineer role to own and run the company’s AWS-based infrastructure. You will implement and harden the platform across CI/CD, serverless and data services, and own reliability and cost controls.

This is the first dedicated platform hire, with scope to grow the function as CreatePay scales. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Data Engineering, and Security to ensure resilient design and practical, explainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on platform, infrastructure, or DevOps experience (junior to mid-level).
• Comfort with core AWS tooling and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
• Ability to design for high availability, observability, and cost control in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and harden AWS environments using infrastructure as code.
• Maintain separation and consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• Own capacity planning and cost management across the AWS estate.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Design and maintain reliable, observable systems with logging and monitoring.
