Job summary

Kahootz UK is hiring a Platform Engineer to own the availability, security and evolution of our AWS-based SaaS platform. You will operate and troubleshoot production services, automate deployments and build repeatable environments for new markets.

Collaborating with R&D, DevOps and security teams, you will advance infrastructure as code, containerisation and delivery automation while strengthening security, resilience and compliance across the platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production workloads in AWS.
• Good understanding of Linux systems, networking principles and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with core AWS services: Route53, EC2, RDS, S3, EFS, ECS, ACM, WAF.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ansible; exposure to Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Container workflows and Kubernetes deployments; monitoring, logging and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot production workloads in AWS to ensure availability and performance.
• Build infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment patterns for repeatable environments.
• Lead containerisation and modernisation initiatives including Kubernetes where appropriate.
• Ensure security, compliance and resilience through robust platform engineering practices.
