Job summary

Workonomics is hiring a Platform Engineer in London to scale our AWS-native platform and own deployment tooling. You will build production-grade infrastructure, pipelines, and developer tooling to support rapid growth.

You’ll work across Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, and EventBridge, focusing on reliability, data residency, and fast, repeatable releases with GitHub Actions and Pulumi.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, EventBridge).
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions) and IaC tooling (Pulumi).
• Hands-on with observability tools (Datadog) and incident response.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and building tooling for developers.

Responsibilities

• Scale infrastructure and design multi-region, HA serverless architectures.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Own observability, monitoring, alerting, and debugging across stack.
• Improve developer experience by reducing toil and friction.

You’ll:

• Scale infrastructure: design and evolve AWS Serverless architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, EventBridge) for 10x growth, multi-region HA, and data residency
• Own CI/CD and deployment: pipelines (GitHub Actions), infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi), and release tooling
• Own observability: monitoring, alerting, and debugging across the stack (Datadog)
• Improve developer experience: build tooling, automate toil, remove friction
• Code & build: ship production-ready TypeScript across infrastructure and product
