Job summary

Aptura in London is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to build the platform that powers annotation tooling, workflows, QA pipelines, and internal infrastructure.

You’ll design task creation flows, build task assignment and review interfaces, and implement data pipelines moving outputs from domain experts into structured training sets, while integrating LLM-powered tooling into the product. You’ll decide what to build and set engineering standards as we grow.

Qualifications

• Experience building internal annotation platforms or workflow software.
• Familiarity with modern web stacks (React/Next.js/TypeScript/Node.js).
• Exposure to AI products or evaluation workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the core data annotation and workflow platform end to end.
• Design onboarding, routing, review workflows, and QA at scale.
• Develop AI-integrated pipelines including LLM-assisted annotation and model-in-the-loop workflows.
• Collaborate with founders and domain operators to turn manual processes into scalable software.
• Make engineering decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts and set standards.
