Job summary

Mentor Talent Acquisition in London seeks a backend engineer to own and scale critical systems powering our AI-driven research platform. You will work across backend services, data pipelines and internal tooling to automate workflows and improve decision-making.

You will take ownership end-to-end, collaborating with product, commercial, and operations teams, and help shape our engineering direction in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning backend systems end-to-end.
• Strong in Python or TypeScript.
• Familiar with modern data platforms (Snowflake/BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Design and scale backend systems powering LLM workflows.
• Build data pipelines and internal platforms integrating product and CRM.
• Develop automation and internal tooling to improve efficiency.
• Own systems from architecture to production.
• Contribute to engineering culture and technical direction.
