Job summary

Morson Talent is seeking Platers for roles in Appledore (EX39). Immediate starts are anticipated as we build our candidate pool ahead of demand for naval, marine and repair projects.

The work involves manual and machine steel fabrication, reading fabrication drawings, and assembling components into structures. Applicants should be flexible for both new-build and repair projects and can expect related safety requirements.

Job description

We’re anticipating Plater opportunities in Appledore (EX39) and are currently getting ahead of the curve for candidates who may be interested.

Role: Platers

Anticipated starts: From 21/09

Rates:

PAYE £24.20 std per hour & £36.30 over 40 hrs + £8.90 per hour travel allowance (up to £356.00 per week)

UMBRELLA £32.40 std per hour & £49.11 over 40 hrs + £11.68 per hour travel allowance (up to £467.20 per week)

(Travel allowance is only paid for candidates who live 39 miles or more from site!)

Job Description

Manual or machine steel fabrication to form individual components and the subsequent assembly of those components to form assemblies, units and blocks, and ship structures.

Projects will cover a range of steel structures across the naval, marine, and repair sectors. The role will require flexibility between new-build structural steel fabrication and ship repair projects.
