Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting experienced Platers for a site-based role in Teesside on a major energy project. You will fabricate, assemble and fit platework components, interpret engineering drawings and prepare components for welding, working closely with Welders and other trades.

The role emphasizes quality, accuracy and safety on a large-scale industrial project and is based on Teesside with site-based duties on a major energy infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plater in major construction or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and work from engineering/fabrication drawings.
• Commitment to safety and quality and right-first-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble platework and mechanical components.
• Mark out, cut, shape and form materials per drawings.
• Set up components for welding and fitment of fabricated parts.
• Work alongside Welders, Mechanical Fitters and Riggers on site.
• Follow safety rules and quality standards throughout the process.
