Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a skilled Plater for the Net Zero Teesside Power project on Teesside. This site-based role focuses on platework fabrication, marking out, cutting, shaping, and assembling components to tight specifications.

You will work closely with Welders, Mechanical Fitters and Riggers to deliver major energy infrastructure on a landmark project. The ideal candidate has strong reading of engineering drawings, accurate fabrication skills, and a commitment to safety and

Qualificações

• Experience in fabrication and assembly of platework
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Marking out, cutting, shaping and forming materials
• Fitting and assembling fabricated components
• Preparing and setting components for welding
• Experience alongside Welders, Mechanical Fitters and Riggers
• Background in power generation projects or petrochemical environments
• Exposure to oil & gas and large industrial projects

Responsabilidades

• Connect with experienced Platers for workforce planning on the project
• Demonstrate strong platework and fabrication skills
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Prepare, fit and assemble fabricated components
• Ensure safe working practices and quality delivery
• Collaborate with Welders, Mechanical Fitters and Riggers on site
• Contribute to major energy infrastructure delivery on Teesside
