Job summary

Auxo Advanced Engineering in Oldham is seeking an experienced Plater / Fabricator to join their busy manufacturing team. The role involves marking out, cutting, shaping and assembling plate and fabricated components, using appropriate tools and machinery safely, and preparing parts for welding to meet drawings and specifications.

You must be able to read engineering drawings, work accurately, and maintain quality and safety standards in a heavy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Plater/Fabricator role within fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong fabrication, measuring, marking out and assembly skills.
• Health and safety awareness around lifting and fabrication equipment.
• Reliable and proactive team player.

Responsibilities

Plater / Fabricator

Oldham

£20 per hour

Monday to Friday (37.5 hour week)

Are you a Fabricator with experience of manufacturing components with steel? A busy manufacturing business in Oldham is currently recruiting for experienced Fabricators to join their team.

The Role:

• Mark out, cut, shape, form and assemble plate, section and fabricated components
• Use appropriate fabrication tools, machinery and equipment safely and correctly
• Prepare, align and tack components ready for welding, ensuring they meet required standards
• Check work for accuracy, quality and compliance with drawings and specifications
• Work safely with overhead cranes, lifting equipment and mechanical handling equipment where trained and authorised
• Report defects, drawing issues, material concerns or production problems to the line manager

Suitable Candidate:

• Experience of working as a Plater / Fabricator within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing background
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
