Job summary

A dedicated recruitment firm is seeking Plater / Welders for a 5-week shutdown at a cement plant in Dunbar, Scotland starting on January 26th. Candidates will be responsible for duties including removing sections of plate, cutting steel, and performing MMA welding on mild steel. Applicants must hold a CCNSG card, an NVQ / City & Guilds qualification, and a Confined Space Entry certificate. Competitive daily pay rates are offered with additional lodge allowances for each day worked.

Qualifications

• CCNSG card is required.
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification is necessary.
• Confined Space Entry certificate must be held.
• Experience working on industrial sites is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove sections of plate using oxyacetylene burning.
• Mark and cut steel plate accurately.
• Repair heat distorted steel plate.
• Perform plate, pipe, channel, and bracket repairs.
• Execute MMA welding on mild steel plate.

PAYE Pay Rates: Mon-Sun: £20.50/hr, including Holiday Pay

Role

Our client has a requirement for Plater / Welders for a shutdown on a cement plant shutdown in Dunbar, Scotland from Mon 26th Jan for a 5 week shutdown. Duties will include:

• Using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove sections of plate
• Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
• Repairing heat distorted steel plate
• Plate, pipe, channel and bracket repairs
• MMA welding on mild steel plate
