Job summary

Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking a Plasterer to join the Repairs and Maintenance team at Stonegravels Depot. You will carry out plastering work across council homes, from patch repairs to refurbishment projects, and may assist with related trades such as rendering, joinery or bricklaying.

The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, on-site, with a salary in the 36k-38k range plus a £500 annual tool allowance prorated. Apply by closing date 11 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out day-to-day plastering repairs.
• Experience in refurbishment work in council homes is preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Plasterer to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This varied role will involve carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance, as well as refurbishment work in council homes across Chesterfield.

You will undertake a full range of plastering work, from minor patch repairs through to the refurbishment of entire properties. Knowledge of other associated trades, including rendering, joinery and bricklaying, would be advantageous but is not essential.
