Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking an experienced Plasterer to cover Basingstoke and surrounding areas for a reactive repairs team in social housing. You will complete plastering repairs across occupied properties, with a company van and fuel provided.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, paying £23 per hour and offering a temp-to-perm path after 16 weeks, with the permanent salary range £36,000-£38,000.

Qualifications

• Strong plastering experience.
• Experience in reactive repairs or maintenance as a plasterer.
• Social housing experience preferred; other domestic maintenance considered.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or fewer).
• DBS can be arranged if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Complete reactive plastering repairs across occupied social housing properties.
• Carry out patch repairs, skimming, making good and other plastering works.
• Undertake associated multi-trade repairs as part of the response team.
• Work across housing association properties.
• Manage a fast-paced workload and adapt to changing priorities.
• Work professionally with tenants and minimise disruption.
• Complete jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy.
• Complete relevant job sheets and paperwork.

Job description

Plasterer role covering Basingstoke, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000-£38,000.

This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties as part of a response team. You'll need to be confident carrying out a wide range of plastering and associated multi-trade works, managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents.

As a Plasterer, you will be:

• Completing reactive plastering repairs across occupied social housing properties.
• Carrying out patch repairs, skimming, making good and other plastering works.

• Strong plastering experience.
• Previous experience working as a Plasterer in reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Social housing experience is preferred, although similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• A background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
• Experience carrying out associated multi-trade repairs.
• The ability to work quickly and independently.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• A DBS - if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
• Availability to start quickly.
