Job summary

Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking a plasterer to join the Repairs and Maintenance team. The role covers day-to-day plastering repairs and refurbishment across council homes, with opportunities to work alongside related trades.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ in plastering, work well independently or in a team, and bring a proactive, caring approach to residents. Salary is competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ in plastering or equivalent qualification.
• Positive, can-do approach and willingness to help the team succeed.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in social housing is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day plastering repairs in council homes.
• Refurbishment work across properties and related tasks.
• Knowledge of rendering, joinery and bricklaying is advantageous.
