Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plasterer for a long-term, full-time role based in Leicester, starting immediately. You will work as part of a professional construction team delivering high-quality plastering work on site.

The ideal candidate has proven plastering experience, strong finishing skills, and a CSCS card; NVQ/City & Guilds in plastering and safety qualifications are desirable. You will be expected to work independently and with colleagues, maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Plasterer.
• Good knowledge of plastering techniques, preparation, and finishing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• CSCS card is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering, skimming, patching, and finishing works to a high standard.
• Prepare surfaces before plastering, including filling and priming.
• Work safely and follow site health and safety rules.
• Liaise with supervisors regarding work schedules and daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on site.
• Maintain timekeeping and complete work within agreed timescales.
• Keep tools and areas clean, safe and organised.
• Be flexible to assist with different tasks as required.
• Work alongside other trades to support project flow.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Proven experience working as a Plasterer
• Good knowledge of plastering techniques, preparation, and finishing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• CSCS card

Desirable:

• Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Plastering
• Relevant site safety qualifications

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering, skimming, patching, and associated finishing works to a high standard
• Prepare surfaces correctly before plastering, including filling, priming, and making good
• Work safely and take all necessary precautions to prevent danger and avoid injury
• Liaise with supervisors regarding work schedules and daily activities
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and other trades on site
• Maintain excellent timekeeping and complete work within agreed timescales
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and ensure finished areas are clean and ready for use
• Keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, safe, and organised
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with different tasks when required
• Work effectively alongside other trades to support the smooth running of projects
• Report any issues, defects, or additional requirements to the relevant supervisor
• Be willing to work additional or unsocial hours when required
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company

• Complete any required paperwork accurately, efficiently, and on time
• Follow company procedures, site rules, and instructions from supervisors
• Maintain a professional approach and represent the company positively on site
