Progress Housing Group is hiring a Plasterer to maintain safe, high-quality homes. You will plaster internal and external surfaces across occupied homes and voids, supporting reactive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment work.
The role requires preparing surfaces, repairing and reinstating plasterwork, with some multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing or tiling where needed to complete jobs in one visit.

The role As a Plasterer, you will play an important role in helping us maintain safe, high-quality homes for our customers.
You will carry out a wide range of plastering works across occupied homes, void properties and other internal and external customer properties, supporting reactive repairs, void re-instatement, planned maintenance and installation work.
You will complete all types of plastering work to a high standard, making sure each job is delivered safely, efficiently and with pride in the finished result.
This may include preparing surfaces, carrying out repairs, reinstating plasterwork, supporting refurbishment works and completing associated trade tasks such as basic plumbing, joinery, brickwork, tiling, screeding, rendering or painting where needed to help complete jobs in one visit.
You will work in line with appointments, repair priorities and agreed timescales, keeping accurate records of your work, materials and time spent.
You will also take responsibility for keeping your work vehicle clean, organised and well maintained, completing the required daily checks and reporting any defects promptly to your Team Leader.
You will follow health and safety requirements, relevant legislation, building regulations, codes of practice and risk assessments, while helping us deliver a reliable, professional repairs service.
You will be customer focused in everything you do, communicating clearly with customers, colleagues, team leaders and managers, treating customers and their property with respect, and working collaboratively to complete multi-trade jobs.
The ideal candidate will also bring experience of working in social housing, with an understanding of the importance of delivering repairs in people’s homes with care, professionalism and respect.
What we’re looking for Essential Recognised trade qualification, such as NVQ, SVQ or City &GuildsExperience of carrying out all types of plastering works for both internal and external customers.Knowledge and understanding of health and safety at work.Experience of dealing with people in a customer service environment.Ability to keep accurate records.Able to work on your own initiative, stay self-motivated and work under pressure, with a hard working, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the job.
Desirable Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).Experience working for a social housing landlord.
