Job summary

Your Housing Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Plasterer in Staffordshire to join our Repairs and Maintenance division. You will provide plastering repairs to empty homes and tenanted properties, traveling to sites and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence (ideally <6 points), NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. We offer progression, a pension with employer matched contributions, healthcare, and exclusive discounts.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (ideally ≤ 6 points).
• Experience in patching, skimming, boarding, 2 coat plaster work, internal/external rendering, coving and cornice, and insulation.
• NVQ Level 3 Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• Basic health and safety knowledge in a repair environment.
• Collaborative team player with problem-solving mindset and commitment to right-first-time quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality plastering repairs service to customers, travelling to designated properties to undertake and complete plastering repair work.
• Carry out plastering work on maintenance, major and minor construction projects for empty homes and tenanted properties.
• Ensure all work is completed with quality, productivity and safety in mind.

What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Plasterer to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division in the Empty Homes team and provide a high quality Plastering repairs service to our customers. What will my working week look like?

You will live within your regional area of work and will ideally also be within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

• providing a quality repairs service to our customers, travelling to designated properties, undertaking, and completing all aspects of plastering repair work.
• carry out plastering work on maintenance, major and minor construction works, for both empty homes and tenanted properties owned by Your Housing Group.
• be confident and capable, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.

To be a successful as a Multi Skilled Plasterer here at YHG, ideally…

• Full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
• experienced in patching, skimming, boarding, 2 coat plaster work, internal and external rendering, coving and cornice and insulation. You may also be required from time to time to undertake minor joinery works, repointing and brickwork, often associated with plastering work
• NVQ Level 3 Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency
• basic health and safety knowledge in a repair’s environment
