Job summary

Rogers McHugh is seeking an experienced Painter/Decorator to join an ongoing social housing maintenance contract. You will prepare and paint void properties across Birmingham, Dudley and surrounding areas, delivering a tidy, high-quality finish.

This role is ongoing with about 2–3 properties per week, requiring reliability and the ability to work independently with immediate start on Monday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Painter/Decorator.
• Experience working on void properties or within social housing is advantageous.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing and painting properties ready for new tenants. The workload is ongoing, with an expected 2–3 properties per week.

Duties

• Painting and decorating void social housing properties

• Preparing surfaces prior to painting

• Applying magnolia and white paint throughout properties

• Ensuring all work is completed to a good standard

• Carrying out minor making-good works where required

• Keeping properties clean and tidy throughout the works

Desirable Skills

It would be ideal if candidates also have experience with:

• Minor patch plastering

• Mastic/sealant works

• General making-good

These additional skills are desirable but not essential.

Requirements
