Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Plasterer to cover the Basingstoke area. The role offers £23 per hour with a company van and fuel, plus a temp-to-perm path after 16 weeks and a permanent salary of £36,000–£38,000. 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with a 1-hour break.

You'll work across occupied social housing properties as part of a reactive repairs team, handling a wide range of plastering and related multi-trade tasks. DBS can be arranged if needed, and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Strong plastering experience within reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Experience working in social housing or occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer and DBS screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete reactive plastering repairs across occupied social housing properties.
• Carry out patch repairs, skimming, making good and other plastering works.
• Undertake multi-trade repairs as part of the response team.
• Work across housing association properties while minimising disruption.
• Manage workload in a fast-paced environment and complete jobs safely.
• Keep work areas clean and complete relevant job sheets.

Job description

Plasterer role covering Basingstoke, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000–£38,000.

This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties as part of a response team. You'll need to be confident carrying out a wide range of plastering and associated multi-trade works, managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents.

I'd love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Plasterer, Maintenance Plasterer or Multi-Trade Operative with strong plastering experience.

As a Plasterer, you will be:

• Completing reactive plastering repairs across occupied social housing properties.
• Carrying out patch repairs, skimming, making good and other plastering works.
• Undertaking associated multi-trade repairs as part of the response team.
• Working across housing association properties.
• Managing a fast-paced workload and responding to changing priorities.
• Working professionally with tenants and minimising disruption.
• Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork.

• Strong plastering experience.
• Previous experience working as a Plasterer in reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Social housing experience is preferred, although similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• A background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
• Experience carrying out associated multi-trade repairs.
• The ability to work quickly and independently.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• A DBS – if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
• Availability to start quickly.
