Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire in Barnsley is seeking a proactive Plant & Tool Hire Manager to lead a busy branch. You’ll drive performance, manage and develop a dedicated team, ensure safety compliance, and deliver outstanding service to customers and colleagues.

Based in a busy branch, you’ll oversee transport, fleet condition, and stock control while contributing to the branch’s growth and profitability. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Prior industry experience required to excel.
• Experience managing a hire operation and fleet.
• Willingness to work in a branch-based role.

Responsibilities

• Driving performance by strong management of your team to hit budget and improve KPIs.
• Building strong customer relationships by delivering great service.
• Overseeing safe and legal transport and distribution of our equipment.
• Ensuring health, safety, and company standards are met across your operation.
• Supporting the wider branch as part of the management team—stock takes, reports, audits, etc.
• Ensuring the hire fleet is in excellent condition and safe for customers.
