Job summary

Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire in Exeter is seeking a proactive Plant & Tool Hire Manager to lead a busy branch and drive safe, profitable operations. You’ll manage a frontline team, coordinate hire and off-hire activities, and ensure service levels meet customer expectations.

You’ll build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues, monitor KPIs, control stock and fleets, and champion health and safety standards across the operation. Training and progression are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Prior industry experience required in plant and tool hire.
• Ability to lead a team and drive KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance by strong management of your team to hit budget and improve KPIs.
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering great service.
• Oversee safe and legal transport and distribution of equipment.
• Ensure health, safety and company standards across operation.
• Support the wider branch as part of the management team with stock takes, reports, audits, etc.
• Ensure the hire fleet is in excellent condition and ready for customers.
