Bimplus is seeking a Plant Operations Instructor / Tutor in Gloucestershire to deliver practical and theory-based training to apprentices, leveraging state-of-the-art plant equipment.

The role combines on-site delivery with on-going support for learners, ensuring safe working practices, technical know-how and work-ready behaviours. Full instructor training is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong Plant Operations or Construction industry background.
• Relevant plant tickets essential.
• Excavator and telehandler tickets highly desirable.
• Strong practical industry knowledge.
• Comfortable using learner management systems such as BUD, or willing to learn.
• Passionate about supporting apprentices and raising industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory-based Plant Operations training.
• Support plant apprentices and commercial plant training programmes.
• Use state-of-the-art facilities including a mock live site, plant simulators, and modern JCB machinery.
• Support learners with safe working practices, technical skills, and work-ready behaviours.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Plant Operations provision.
• Work within a team of around 20 people, reporting into the Head of Education.
