Job summary

Veolia in Aldridge is seeking a hands-on Plant Operations Operator. You will run plant processing equipment, assist in waste treatment, and operate site vehicles (forklifts and similar) after training.

The role requires a good understanding of safety and the ability to handle manual tasks in a busy industrial environment. With 40-hour weeks and shift patterns, you will contribute to Veolia's environmental mission while benefiting from a comprehensive rewards program, training, and career

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Operational knowledge of plant and equipment and the ability to drive mobile plant machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety ideally to an IOSH standard.
• Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling role.
• Desirable forklift licences and yellow plant licences.

Responsibilities

• Operating plant processing equipment such as mixing tanks, pumps, general control room operations
• Carry out treatment of waste operations
• Operate the site based vehicles - forklift trucks, wheeled loading shovel, rigid bulk tanker and other - once trained
• Assist in the maintenance of the plant and equipment and processes
• Promote environmental awareness to contractors, visitors, and employees
