Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd, on behalf of a leading recycling company, is seeking a Plant Operator for the night shift in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of plant systems and strict adherence to HSE standards.

You will monitor equipment, carry out start-ups and shutdowns, maintain logs and shift handovers, respond to alarms, and support outages and maintenance while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement on site.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production process.
• Carrying out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns, and plant changeovers in line with operating procedures.
• Ensuring the plant operates within defined parameters while fully complying with HSE legislation, site rules, and company policies.
• Supporting the permit-to-work system, including isolations, lock-off/tag‑out, and safe systems of work.
• Responding effectively to plant faults, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions to minimise downtime.
• Assisting with planned outages, maintenance activities, and contractor supervision as required.
• Maintaining accurate operational logs, shift reports, and handovers.
• Actively promoting a strong safety culture and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Basic Salary - £38,500 - £54,000 Depending on Experience

4 Night Shifts Per Week

We are proud to be working in partnership with a leading recycling company at the forefront of power generation. Due to continued operational requirements, we are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join the site operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
